Another trip to the city, by the free ferry.

Right across the water, the other skyline is also pretty impressive too !
Impressive as it may be, with the big apple next door, its just the other place where the bridge and tunnel crowd live.

I think the water gets blue-er in the winter ..

chasing rainbows ..

.. may be a fruitless task, but is enchanting for sure !




question: should it be "may" in the above sentence, or "might" ?

reflections

Things are seen much clearer,
when the canvas holding the tapestry
is calmer, free of wrinkles.

However, it takes a long time for the storm-ripples to subside ..

Hurricanes hardly come alone.

the one that flew away.

It spread out its wings to land, but I needed all the space for myself. I shooed it away.
It hovered for a while, but then got tired and went looking for another spot.

Now that its flown, it's quite not the same anymore. I keep scanning the grey horizon for a glimpse...

a delicate balance

Settling, is a tricky thing.

For one used to live out of a suitcase, its quite unfamiliar ground - one where you acquire a lot of extra baggage, and add/subtract activities to get the balancing act right. A huge lot of additions and subtractions. can't resist adding a quip about multiplication as well...

People around provide assurances by pointing out other stacked pebbles and how well they have held against time.

But somehow, it still feels that the slightest gale could bring things toppling down.

even grander than *the grand*

A trip to antelope canyon is like you have been tripping on something incredible.



Gives a new meaning to the term "water colour painting". After all, the water has been working at it since about a million years.

the roads i took

Two paths, each made of wood
Looked down both, and try as I could
Was any better? I could not sense.

I walked down one, it ended soon;
Took the other on my return
It made not the slightest difference.


I need to get better at path selection :)
