#There are times when you simply have to pack the camera away and just imbibe the awesomeness.

#Continuously looking at the world through an eyepiece only narrows your vision

But then, #memories fade, photographs don't !

Golden rays of the setting sun on an overcast wintry day, highlighting a scene like this ? Lasts for all of twelve minutes. Make the most of it !

I recollect you had uploaded a similar snap earlier. Is the memorial golden in colour??

The monument is white ..

.. actually, its in shades of white. There were several delays in the construction, with time gaps upto 8 years. So when construction re-started, they couldnt find the same marble that was used for the base part .. :D

it appears golden due to the setting sun. It was really magical.. the sun was behind the clouds, in the ambient light everything it was white; and then the clouds parted and sun burst through, and everything was painted golden - the monument, the reflecting pool, the park on the side, all of it. But it was most striking on the monument as it was (almost) all white to start with ..
